This package included 2 new, temporary tax incentives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ato.gov.au\/businesses-and-organisations\/income-deductions-and-concessions\/incentives-and-concessions\/production-tax-incentives\/critical-minerals-production-tax-incentive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Critical Minerals Production Tax Incentive (CMPTI)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ato.gov.au\/businesses-and-organisations\/income-deductions-and-concessions\/incentives-and-concessions\/production-tax-incentives\/hydrogen-production-tax-incentive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive (HPTI)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These measures are now law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ato-CriticalMineralsProductionTaxIncentive\">Critical Minerals Production Tax Incentive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CMPTI provides eligible companies with a refundable tax offset of 10&nbsp;per cent of the eligible costs of processing certain critical minerals in Australia. The offset will be available for a maximum of 10&nbsp;years between 1&nbsp;July 2027 and 30&nbsp;June 2040.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CMPTI is jointly administered by the ATO and the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ato-HydrogenProductionTaxIncentive\">Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The HPTI is a refundable tax offset of $2&nbsp;per kilogram of eligible hydrogen produced by eligible companies.
